Acer TravelMate 5740 is a business notebook. It is a mid-level performance system that has been designed with portability in mind. Acer TravelMate 5740 is built with the latest hardware components and technologies. It packs these all into a small form factor with a thin profile. Looking at the processor first, users will find an Intel Core i5 processor. This is Intel's mid-level performance processor. It features both Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost technologies. These technologies increase the performance of the system beyond the normal operating states, one by virtually doubling the usable thread or cores on the processor and also increasing the clock speeds. Graphics on the TravelMate 5750 is supported by Intel HD Graphics. This is an integrated graphics solution. It is the standard on most laptops today and it supports high-definition content. Many consumers prefer either a 13 or a 14 inch notebook when shopping for mobile computing solutions. This is because these notebooks remain fairly light and thin, making them easy to carry around.
