PowerEdge R710
Dell PowerEdge R710 Rack Server has an upgraded memory capacity critically needed for virtualization performance and scalability. An additional secure digital (SD) card or USB facilitates virtualization with built in hypervisors from vendors. Another interesting feature of this server is its Intel VT FlexMigration that allows the use of different generations of Intel Xeon processor-based servers adding versatility and economy with the use of older generation Intel Xeon processors. A rather new energy saving feature of the Dell PowerEdge R710 Rack Server is its Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) memory that runs on a higher bandwidth (greater performance) but on lower energy consumption as opposed to DDR2 and FBD memories. The addition of more memory slots can enable you to use less expensive dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs) for good performance at less cost.
